Eric Park is the District Governor (2011/12) Nominee for District 6060 and leads the MicroCredit Committee of Rotary District 6060 in Eastern Missouri. Eric is Past President (1997/1998) of the Washington MO, USA Rotary Club, which he joined in 1989 (perfect attendance since). He is also a board member and Director of Special Projects for the International Rotarian Action Group for MicroCredit (RAGM). Eric is an economist, author, speaker and expert in the fields of banking and financial markets.
Eric began his career in the investment field in 1981. He was Co-founder and President of the Steamboat Financial Group, until 2007 – he continues working with clients at the firm. Eric is a member of the Missouri State Commission charged with regulatory oversight of credit unions. Eric serves as President of the Board for the Department of Personal Financial Planning at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Publications such as FORTUNE magazine and the St.Louis Post Dispatch have quoted Eric on various financial and investment matters. Eric is a 2005 Registered Representative Magazine “Outstanding Broker of the Year” and a 2007 Research Magazine inductee to their investment “Advisors Hall of Fame.”
Eric’s professional credentials include CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Fund Specialist, and Licensed Registered Representative/Financial Consultant. He received an Associates degree in Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Business (Mathematics and Economics), two Master Degrees, one in Finance & Management, the second one in Personal Financial Planning. Eric did his doctorial work in Economics at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Eric, wife Donna and daughter, Samantha, reside in the historic Tibbe home in Washington, Missouri. | |
